Your Spiritual Reading with Ron Scolastico, Ph.D.

To:    From: Susan Scolastico

This letter is to confirm your telephone appointment with Dr. Ron Scolastico for .

Calling for your Reading: We have an unlisted phone number that is dedicated just to the phone readings. That number is 1-818-225-1124. Please begin calling at your appointment time. If the line is busy, it just means he is not quite ready for you or is running a few minutes late from his previous appointment. Just keep dialing until the line rings.

How To Prepare: Your recorded Reading will last approximately 45 minutes, you should allow over an hour for your full appointment time. This will give you plenty of time before and after the Reading for discussion with Ron and to ask him any questions that you may have. Please allow uninterrupted, private time for your Reading, and turn off "call waiting" if you have that service. It can help to create a receptive atmosphere if you put aside anything that might distract you, and make yourself physically comfortable as you prepare for your time with Ron. Some people like to light a candle or incense to help remind them that they are entering a spiritual focus for this period of time. Use whatever helps remind you of the presence of your soul.

The fee for your Reading is $210 for cassette or simple CD. This includes shipping fees. We need to receive your payment information or check 48 hours before your appointment time. If you wish to pay by credit card, you can call me at 1-800-359-3771, or enter your information on our secure site: http://www.ronscolastico.com/readingpayment.htm  I will charge your card on the day of your appointment. Your credit card statement will say "Transpersonal Consultation Group." If you prefer to send a check, please mail it to Ron Scolastico, P.O. Box 6556, Woodland Hills, CA 91365-6556.

CD Indexing: We can make your copy of the Reading as a CD. Ron will ask you, when you call, whether you prefer cassette tape or compact disc. The CD will all be one track. There is no extra charge for the CD version of your Reading, however, there is an extra charge of $25 if you wish the tracks to be inserted (indexing) before we mail your CD. That takes place after the Reading and is a more involved process. It is very helpful to have the index when you want to quickly find a specific question or answer. You can let Ron know at the time of your Reading if you would like that service.

Transcribing your Reading: We also offer transcription services. The fee for a transcript of your Reading with Ron Scolastico is $75 by e-mail, $85 printed and snail mailed. Contact me if you are interested in this service. rs@ronscolastico.com

Backing up your Reading: Ron will make two copies of your Reading. One copy of the recorded Reading will be sent to you, and the second copy will be kept as a confidential file copy for your convenience. We will keep this backup copy for one year. It will then be destroyed. If your CD or tape gets damaged or lost, you can arrange to have a replacement copy sent to you. The backup is filed by date, so, if you ever need your backup, you will need to give us the approximate date of your Reading. If you need a replacement tape or CD, we will replace it at no charge for one month after your Reading. After that it goes into storage and there will be a $15 replacement fee.

Changing your appointment: If you need to change your appointment, we are happy to accommodate you. We do request that you give us 24 hours notice so that we can fill your appointment time.

If I can answer any questions or be of assistance to you before your Reading, please feel free to call me at 1-818-224-4488 or e-mail me at rs@ronscolastico.com.

The following is information that Dr. Scolastico would like you to read before your scheduled appointment time. This explanation of how the Reading works, and how to ask your questions, will help you have a deeper, more valuable experience of your Reading.

From Ron Scolastico, Ph.D,

For your Reading, I'll enter a deep state of consciousness and draw on a vast source of spiritual knowledge that I have tapped into since 1978. This source has provided inspiration for thousands of people all over the world.

Your Reading can provide a great deal of knowledge about many areas of your life. It can be particularly helpful in giving you an understanding of your thought and emotional patterns, and the deeper aspects of your relationships with people who are important in your life. It can also help you become more aware of the influences of your soul, and it can reveal ways that your past lifetimes affect your present life. The knowledge given in your Reading can help you know yourself in a more profound way, enabling you to live your life with greater joy and love.

The Source of the Readings
When I enter the deep state of consciousness from which I do the readings, I experience a most wonderful dimension of beauty, wisdom, and love. I'm aware that the words of the Reading appear, one at a time, and I've learned to put aside my normal awareness so that the words can be spoken without interference from my conscious mind. But, I don't actually perceive the source of the Readings, so I can't tell where the words come from. All I know from my direct experience is that, whatever the source might be, it is very loving and profound.
I believe that I'm drawing on knowledge that is potentially available to everyone. We have many different ideas and concepts about the source of this knowledge. Psychologists may call it the "collective unconscious," or "race memory." Some people prefer vague terms, such as "intuitive wisdom," or simply, "inspiration." Others might think in terms of "spiritual guides," or "guardian angels." Since we cannot yet objectively verify the non-physical source of knowledge that is available to us, I encourage you to use whatever concept or explanation seems true to you. What I know for certain is that there is a source of spiritual knowledge that we can draw on because I've tapped in to it thousands of times. If we call that source different things, that is simply a difference in human concepts.
When I do a Reading, I believe that I'm tuning in to a vast spiritual realm that includes souls who are considered to be "spiritual guides" to human beings. The Readings that I've done say that each of us is personally guided by several souls who work with us inwardly throughout our lifetime. We evidently choose these souls as Guides before we come into this life. The Guides are described as souls like our own soul, except that the Guides have completed their evolution through human life on earth, and they are not projecting a personality into a human body as our soul is doing with us. During your Reading, I believe that your own personal spiritual guides are part of the source, as are the guides of any person that you might ask about during your Reading.

Beginning Your Reading
I'll begin the process of your Reading with a brief moment of silence. That prepares me for the deep attunement. Then, I'll turn on the recorders. After I turn them on, I'll say a short prayer that launches me into the Reading process. Then, there will be a brief silence while I'm entering the deep state of consciousness from which the Reading will be done.
After that silence, the Reading will begin. The Guides will speak to you for five to ten minutes, giving you many insights about yourself and your life. As the Reading starts, you will notice that my voice takes on a slight accent, and the wording is different from my normal way of speaking.

Asking Your Questions

After the opening part of the Reading, the Guides will say for you to ask questions. At that point, you can ask your first question. Some people wonder what kind of questions they should ask during their Reading. I suggest that you focus on whatever is important to you in your life. For example, you can ask about your purpose or direction in life, or your important relationships. You can ask about patterns of worry or challenge that are troubling you. You can ask about your talents and abilities, or about your past-life relationships with people in your life. The strength of the Guides’ wisdom is to provide spiritual insight into your life situations, and to inspire you to achieve your greatest potential. It is not to predict the future or tell you what to do.

Health Questions. The Guides will answer questions about health, but usually they will speak about deep mental and emotional patterns in you that are related to your health, or past-life influences and choices that you made before this lifetime. From my experience, it seems that the Guides are not always able to see physical bodies with perfect accuracy, so you must use your own judgment as to how to treat your health situation. And, of course, this information should never be used as a substitute for professional medical advice and treatment. If you have a health problem, we strongly encourage you to see the appropriate health professional.  Also, if you feel you have severely disturbing personal problems, we recommend that you seek the services of a mental health professional.

It is important to understand that this is not a "psychic" Reading, in the sense that the Guides find lost people or objects, or make predictions. What the Guides seem to do best is to tune in to your soul patterns and your personality patterns, and they give you information about how to draw upon those patterns to express yourself fully in your life. They can discuss your talents and abilities, and suggest ways to fully open them. They can tell you about various blockages that are preventing you from accomplishing what you desire. They can speak about past-life influences on this lifetime. They can help you touch into deep levels of love and understanding. They can guide you in achieving a deeper spiritual experience in your life. They can discuss your important life decisions, but, they will not make your decisions for you. They have said that learning to make wise, loving choices is one of our lessons as human beings.

There are several things that I've learned from my many years of experience that can help you when you ask your questions:

Being Specific. First of all, be aware that the source that I'm tapping in to is very large. Therefore, if you ask vague, open-ended questions, you will get a large answer, and the Guides will go into many different areas. For example, if you say, "Tell me about my work," the Guides will speak in general about many things related to your work. But, if there is something in particular about your work that you want to know, describe it specifically, give whatever background you believe is important, then say what you want to know about that aspect of your work. That will focus the source exactly where you want it to be pointed. If you say, "Tell me about my past lifetimes," you will get an answer that will explore many different areas. But, maybe what you really want to know is what lifetimes you have had with a particular person, or in a particular place. So, you would ask that in a specific way and the answer would focus precisely on those areas.

Asking About the Future. If you ask about the future, keep in mind that the Guides have said that our future is totally flexible. We create our future by the way we live the present, and by the choices that we make. When the Guides speak to you about the future, they are looking at your various life patterns and projecting them for you, telling you where you are heading. If you like what they see, then you can simply keep doing what you are now doing. If you don't like it, then you can change your patterns, which can change the future and the way you create it.

Being Clear. I used to think that perhaps the Guides could read your mind during the Reading and know what you were going to ask, since they seem to know so much about people. So, I tested this with some friends. I had them sit and simply think some questions during a test Reading. We got some answers to the questions, but, they did not all match the questions.

I think that if your guides were talking to you in your own mind, they would know what you're thinking, but, it seems that when the Reading has to go through me, you need to get your questions into my mind clearly, without any confusion, and then the Guides can take it from there. So, simply clear up any potential confusion when you ask your questions. For example, let's say that you ask, "I want to know something about Joe," and let's say that Joe is your dog. You would need to say, "I want to ask about Joe, and he's my dog," so that my mind doesn't get in the way and unconsciously try to make a person out of Joe.

If you ask about a person in your life, to be clear, say the person's name, then say who the person is to you, their approximate age, where they live, and then ask what you would like to know. If the person is deceased, say that in your question. If you would like the answer to focus on any particular aspect of a relationship with someone, then ask specifically about that. So, you might say something like, "I want to know about Suzy Smith. She's my 55 year old aunt who lives in Philadelphia. I want to know why we have such a special relationship, and how we can keep improving it."

Follow-up Questions. After you ask your first question, the Guides will give you a very thorough answer. Then, after they answer, they will say, "Do you understand?" At that point, you can either say, "Yes," and go right ahead and ask your next question. Or, you can ask for follow-up on the previous answer. The Guides will give you as much follow-up information as you want to take the time for. However, you need to be aware that the Guides' follow-up can be as long as the original answer. So, asking for follow-up is like asking another question. Thus, the more you follow up, the fewer variety of questions you will get through during your Reading. If you don't ask any follow-up questions, you will probably get through five or six questions. Most people like to get through as many questions as possible during their first Reading, knowing that they can do another Reading in the future to get further information about any of their questions.

The Closing of the Reading
The Guides will continue with the questions and answers until they decide that it is time to end the Reading. Usually, the Reading will be 40 to 45 minutes in length, beginning from my initial prayer at the start of the Reading.

At a certain point in the Reading, the Guides will answer a question, then, instead of saying, "Do you understand?" as they have after each answer, they will keep talking and they will sort of "shift gears" and begin the closing of the Reading.

The closing of your Reading can be a very inspiring and comforting experience. There is a great deal of love communicated during the closing. If you relax and follow along, you can tune in to a deep, uplifting "energy" that is given by the Guides.

At a certain point in the closing, the Guides will say that the Reading is ended. Then, it will take me a few minutes to return to my normal state of consciousness. At that time, we can discuss your Reading, and I can answer any questions that you may want to ask me about your Reading.  If you have any questions about this process, feel free to ask me before we start the Reading
